Solace — a poem

Solace - a tribute to my grandmother

in times of grief

*you do not leave

me all alone.

when i do cleave

you do not groan,

for in you i find comfort

as i rest under your wings.

in times of pain

with all hope slain

you're always there

my troubles share.

for in you i find relief

as your shadow covers me.

in times of hurt,

i know my worth

when you are near,

it's all so clear.

for in you i find solace

as i hear your still small voice.

in you i find solace

so i may endure.

in you i have solace

for i am secure.

a place,

where i know of your grace.
